Summer in Kaprun - Zell am See

Sommer in Kaprun

I have sent the summer a friend request.

I hope he accepts it!

Glacier - mountain - lake: with so much on offer, it's hard to know what to try first.

From the Kitzsteinhorn via the Maiskogel to the "Lago di Simone" ;-) - or from the Kitz to the Schmitten to Lake Zell? Either way - an eventful day.

The region around Zell am See-Kaprun as a hiking paradise - whether on the cozy Grasberg Maiskogel, a refreshing hike to the Klammsee through the legendary Sigmund-Thun-Klamm or a high alpine experience on the Kitzsteinhorn the historic high mountain reservoirs and the Zeller See - as our guest you benefit with the summer card from free admission or ascent to our Big Five.

Lake Zell as an adventure paradise - Here, those seeking relaxation and water sports enthusiasts will find the ideal conditions for a successful summer vacation. Pedal boating or a boat trip? Whether you're a sailor, surfer or water skier - or perhaps you'd rather go fishing or even do as the fish do and explore the depths? Pack your fishing rod and fins, because anglers and divers will also find their Eldorado on and in Lake Zell. Clear visibility, an abundance of fish and drinking water quality ensure sporting enjoyment.

With the Zell am See-Kaprun summer card , our guests have free admission to the lidos on Lake Zell, a free round trip on the MS Schmittenhöhe once a week and the crossing between Thumersbach and Zell am See included.

How about a tandem flight from the Schmitten to Kaprun with a magnificent view of the Kitzsteinhorn or a balloon ride? Our partners Falkenair will take you soaring through the air!

Zell am See-Kaprun as a cycling paradise - the well-developed network of trails in the Zell am See-Kaprun region invites you to take excursions into the beautiful natural surroundings. The Tauern Cycle Path leads directly past Kaprun on its way from Krimml to Passau.

You can hiree-bikes
from us and if you are planning a longer tour, you will be delighted with the numerous e-bike routes and charging stations in the area. This makes the bike ride to Krimml or up the Kitzsteinhorn child's play and you can relax in the spa in the evening.

The Kitzsteinhorn is not only a popular excursion destination for hikers and families in summer, the 12 km of bike trails also attract visitors. The Maiskogel Trail is ideal for beginners and there are courses for beginners as part of the summer program.

The bikes are protected from the weather and theft in our locked bike cellar and can be charged overnight!

Some of Austria's most famous sights such as the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, the city of Salzburg or the Krimml Waterfalls are only about an hour's drive from Kaprun.

Families will especially love the extensive offer of the Zell am See-Kaprun Card, which is not only easy on the wallet, but also offers a varied program for young and old. Parents can relax on the balcony or terrace after a day out, while their children can end the day in the hotel's own garden with its ground trampoline, climbing frame and, of course, natural pool.
