Winter in Kaprun - Zell am See

Winter in Kaprun

When it doesn't bobble

it is not a cap!

Zell am See-Kaprun welcomes you with a 100% natural snow guarantee - whether you are a skier, boarder, cross-country skier or ski tourer - we have something for everyone.

The Kitzsteinhorn - THE glacier
Surrounded by the highest peaks in Austria, wide and open glacier slopes, Freeride XXL, snow parks and ice camps as well as the Gipfelwelt 3000 await you. An alpine aha experience - at any time of year.

The Maiskogel family mountain
Young and old skiers alike will find the best prepared pistes in the region here on the Maiskogel. Enjoyable skiing with cozy refreshment stops and another highlight is the year-round toboggan run with built-in jumps and waves for exciting rides.

The Schmitten and the Ronachkopf
Looking for a change? You'll find it at Rome Park Schmitten or on the Skimovie trail. If you prefer snowshoeing or ski touring, you have the opportunity to try out these wonderful sports on the Ronachkopf in Thumersbach or on the Maiskogel in Kaprun. How about a tandem flight from the Schmitten to Kaprun with a magnificent view of the Kitzsteinhorn?

Our partners Falkenair will swing you through the air or take you on a balloon ride.

408 kilometers of fun on the slopes with just one ski pass.
Whether you decide to spend a day skiing in Kaprun, Zell am See or Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang - with the free ski bus you can shuttle back and forth between the two ski resorts Kaprun-Zell as you please and enjoy the other ski areas of all levels of difficulty by ski swing or shuttle bus.

Or would you prefer to go on a ski tour away from the slopes? On both the Kitzsteinhorn and the Ronachkopf, beautiful routes of varying degrees of difficulty invite you to explore the mountain world. Our local ski schools will be happy to help you with your first turns.

For cross-country skiers there is also a well-groomed network of trails from Kaprun to Bruck or Piesendorf. The Kaprun trail is even floodlit in the evening and you will find the cross-country ski school, including rental equipment, at the entrance.

If you're still not tired after an active day on the slopes, you can relax for free in the Therme Tauern Spa in the evening , enjoy the peace and quiet of the hotel's own sauna or plunge into the Kaprun après-ski.

Whether on the mountain or in the valley - we know where the action is!
